The motion

That the Parliament recognises the significant support and advice that people affected by cancer in Renfrewshire can once again receive as a result of the reopening of the OneRen Cancer Information and Support Service; understands that the support service, which is a partnership between MacMillan Cancer Support Charity and charitable trust OneRen, is run by experienced volunteers who provide people with information about different forms of cancer and their treatments; further understands that the service can act as a sanctuary for people living with cancer, and their families, allowing them to sit in a comfortable environment and speak privately about their feelings; congratulates the service for providing drop-in sessions at Erskine Library, Ferguslie Library, Renfrew Library and Johnstone Library, and understands that it aims to expand the service by recruiting even more volunteers to deliver what it sees as an invaluable service of support to those living with or are affected by cancer.
