CalMac Donates Laptops to Help Tackle Digital Poverty

The motion

That the Parliament commends CalMac on donating 55 laptops to Belville Community Garden Trust so that they can be refurbished and provided to people in the community as part of their digital device refurbishing project; considers that the Gourock-based ferry operator’s donation will help tackle digital poverty and social isolation, while also diverting electronics away from landfill; commends Belville for its efforts to tackle poverty and isolation in all its forms; thanks CalMac for what it sees as its commitment to support local projects in Inverclyde, and wishes both organisations all the best for the future.
