Spring Fling Event Held in Helensburgh for the Over 60s

The motion

That the Parliament applauds the organisers of the Spring Fling event, which was jointly held by two charities in Helensburgh; understands that Visiting Friends provides a befriending service for those who feel lonely or socially isolated, while Grey Matters Active Ageing, supports those aged over 60 in leading an active and fulfilling life by providing a range of groups and activities; further understands that around 95 members from both organisations attended the Spring Fling, and believes that the event created an ideal opportunity for people to enjoy meeting old friends and make new ones after two long years of COVID-19 restrictions.
