Lewis Gibson - Prestwick

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Lewis Gibson, from Prestwick, and his partner Lilah Fear for placing sixth in the Free Dance category at the 2022 World Figure Skating Championships in France; notes that the pair scored 119.28 in their free dance, which, it understands, is a season’s best; understands that Lewis will return to Scotland to coach an ice camp in Ayr, where he learned to skate; highlights what it sees as the commitment and dedication that both Lewis and Lilah have put into their training over the years; congratulates Lewis and Lilah for their achievement amongst tough competition and pressure, and wishes them all of the best for the future.
