Knowetop Primary in Motherwell Becomes Silver Rights Respecting School

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Knowetop Primary School, in Motherwell, on being granted the status of Silver Rights Respecting School by Unicef UK, following an assessment by one of Unicef UK’s professional advisors who, it understands, looked at the whole school's rights respecting work; understands that this means Knowetop Primary has explicitly embedded the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in its policy, practice and culture, and that children’s rights in the school are learned, understood, and lived, and congratulates Knowetop’s Primary 3 pupils on their work to tackle littering in and around the school by designing posters that ask people "to be clean, be green, and slam dunk the junk!"
