Bothwell Futures Awarded Scottish Land Fund Funding

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Bothwell Futures on being awarded £152,420 from the Scottish Land Fund; notes that the funding will be used to acquire the Bothwell Library situated on Bothwell’s Main Street; further notes the plans to develop this as a multi-functional community hub, including a range of activities and library services; recognises that the Scottish Land Fund aims to support rural and urban communities to become more resilient and sustainable through the ownership and management of land and land assets with grants of between £5,000 and £1,000,000, and notes that the Scottish Land Fund is funded by the Scottish Government and delivered in partnership by The National Lottery Community Fund and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, both of which have extensive experience of helping communities to acquire and develop their assets.
