Aberdeen Sports Awards 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates all winners and nominees at the Aberdeen Sports Awards 2022; notes that this is the first time since 2019, that the awards ceremony has been held in the Granite City; notes that the ceremony took place on 15 March 2022 at P&J Live in Aberdeen, with the ceremony hosted by Eddie “the eagle” Edwards, with 17 different individuals, groups and organisations picking up awards on the night; understands that in some categories, individuals or groups received highly commended awards to recognise their efforts; notes that the winners included Kirsty Muir, who received the Young Achiever Award, Virtual School, which received School Innovation Award, and Liane Wood, who received Young Volunteer of the Year; understands that the sports awards celebrate the wealth of sporting achievements and contributions made by local athletes, volunteers and clubs, and recognises the work that goes into the vision of making Aberdeen what it sees as the most active city in the country.
