Artisan Food, Drink and Gifts Market Launches in M&D’s to Showcase Local Vendors

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the new Meet the Maker Market located in M&D’s in Strathclyde Park, Motherwell, which, it understands, will offer an emporium of fine foods and hand-crafted gifts; understands that the market will launch on 9 April 2022 and thereafter, will open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, featuring a variety of Scottish vendors, who both make and sell their own products, selling from artisan wooden chalets; further understands that products will include speciality cookies, small batch roasted coffee, bespoke candles and room scents, environmentally friendly cleaning products, and much more, and considers that M&D’s theme park offers a unique opportunity to grow and support independent vendors and local businesses given its popularity as a destination for families and thrill seekers from across the country and further afield.
