Manor Park School Achieve Mini Me Yoga Accreditation

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils and staff of Manor Park School on becoming the first school in the country to achieve accreditation from Mini Me Yoga, which, it understands, is a UK-wide training organisation that promotes health and wellbeing; understands that the program was organised by Emma Kidd, who is an early years practitioner at Glashieburn School and was funded through Pupil Equity Funding; further understands that the program has run over two years, providing training to staff so they can use Mini Me Yoga in class and enabling 50 pupils direct access to yoga lessons; understands that the mindfulness and wellbeing focus of the school has prompted the creation of a P6 and P7 girls mental health group, which, it understands, provides mutual support and helps develop strategies to promote student wellbeing, such as the well-received charging stations around the school, which help children to remain calm and use strategies to control their emotions; commends all of the pupils and staff for their hard work, and wishes them all the best for the future.
