Congratulating Selkirk Boxer Charlie Dent

That the Parliament congratulates the Selkirk boxer, Charlie Dent, on winning a gold medal in the 2004 63.5MKG category at the Boxing Scotland Youth and Elite Championships at Ravenscraig, Motherwell on 20 March 2022; understands that the 6ft Earlston High School pupil beat Lochend’s Christian Pacitti to claim the title; further understands that Christian Pacitti took a standing eight count in the first round and was unable to continue for the second, leaving Charlie to claim gold, and commends Charlie, who, it understands, will now undertake an assessment week with the Boxing Scotland squad with a view to representing the country internationally.
