Tributes Paid to Campbell Snoddy
The motion
That the Parliament notes with great sadness the passing of Campbell Snoddy, a former Greenock councillor who, itunderstands, devoted his life to helping others; understands that Campbell wasa lifelong humanitarian, working as a social worker for nearly 40 years inGreenock before taking up a role with the Scottish Refugee Council, which sawhim lead efforts to resettle families from Kosovo fleeting conflict in theirwar torn country; further understands that Campbell retired in 1998, but wenton to be elected as a local councillor in 2003, serving his home town ofGreenock for four years; understands that Campbell was a hugely valued memberof Westburn Church, serving the parish as an elder for over 40 years and wasinvolved in many other local organisations throughout his life, including theRound Table, Port Glasgow Curling Club and Gourock Burns Club, and sends itscondolences to Campbell’s friends and family during this difficult time.
