The motion

That the Parliament understands that North Berwick has been voted one of the best places to live in the country according to The Sunday Times Best Place to Live Guide, which considered 70 locations across Scotland; understands that this is because of its unbeatable combination of high-quality schools, independent shops, laid-back beach life and trains to Edinburgh; recognises that the town has popular views of Bass Rock, North Berwick Law and Tantallon Castle in East Lothian; understands that these are popular tourist attractions, which have important economic value to the county; further understands that North Berwick is consistently recognised for its award-winning floral displays, and congratulates the town’s community for maintaining what it believes to be a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere in the town.
