Five Kingdoms Brewery Scoops Top Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Five Kingdoms Brewery, the country's most southerly brewery, after it was voted Brewery of the Year 2021 by Ayrshire and Wigtownshire CAMRA; notes that it has also won a silver award from The Society of Independent Brewers for its premium bitter, Wee McAsh; further notes that the brewery was launched in 2015 and nestles on the tip of the Machars peninsula; praises the work and vision of its owner, Alastair Scoular and his staff in producing the highest quality product possible; acknowledges its commitment to keeping all its brewery processes in-house with the aim, it understands, of generating local jobs and the hope of doubling production capacity at its current site in the months ahead; recognises its drive to source raw materials locally and use 90% Scottish grain, and wishes the brewery further and continued success as it grows its business.
