Clydebank Hospital Given University Status
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank after it was awarded University status by the University of Strathclyde; understands that this follows the successful agreement of a strategic partnership between the organisations that will look to assist in the recovery and remobilisation of NHS Scotland through innovation in healthcare practice; notes that the hospital will now be called the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital and it will work closely with the University to develop sustainable, innovative and practical solutions to health and social care, which will, it understands, directly benefit NHS Scotland patients and workforce for years to come, and congratulates all involved on the awarding of this new status.
