Tour Series Cycling Event Brings Festivities to Galashiels

That the Parliament welcomes the second round of the Tour Series, the UK’s premier professional cycle race series, to Galashiels on 4 May 2022; notes that it is free to spectate; understands that in the run up to this event, Energise Galashiels Trust has launched a community bike decorating competition for all to get involved in, with free bikes provided by Just Cycle, available to be collected from the Focus Centre for anyone wishing to take part, with the winning bikes displayed throughout the town for the duration of the Tour Series; further understands that town centre businesses are also being encouraged to join festivities with a window dressing competition in the run up to the Series, in addition to a range of other community events and entertainment planned for the day itself, and considers that such an event coming to Galashiels is a great chance for the town to show its community spirit and what it has to offer.
