Time to Tackle Programme Wins the UEFA Silver Award for Best Social Initiative
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Time to Tackle programme on winning the UEFA Silver Award for best social initiative; understands that the Best Social Initiative prize is awarded for work in promoting equality and fighting discrimination through football; further understands that Time To Tackle delivers weekly sessions, which includes an hour of football and a mental health check-in session, where members of the group are encouraged to share stories about their own challenges and experiences; understands that the programme continued its sessions virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic, and praises the stellar efforts of founders Aaron and Siobhán Connolly for providing this excellent service.
