Father and Son Duo Take Top Spot at Inverclyde Indoor Bowling Club Championship

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates father and son duo, Tam McLees, 71, and Mark McLees, 36, on making history by scooping the two top prizes at Inverclyde Indoor Bowling Club’s championship; understands that Tam and Mark claimed the silverware for men’s singles, with Tam winning the senior championship, while Mark clinched the gents trophy; recognises that this is believed to be the first time that a father and son pair have won the titles in the club’s history; appreciates that Tam and Mark are members of Wellington Park Bowling Club and have faced-off in championship finals previously, but have never held simultaneous senior singles titles; notes that Mark has won Scottish and British bowls titles in the past, and wishes Tam and Mark all the best as they look to repeat their double victory in future competitions.
