Senior School Technician Retires After Almost 50 Years
The motion
That the Parliament wishes Douglas MacLean a happy retirement after working 48 years in secondary schools across Inverclyde as a senior technician; recognises that Douglas spent most of his career at Greenock High and then Inverclyde Academy, with a brief stint at Clydeview Academy during its inaugural year; acknowledges that Douglas’s job has seen him assist with a wide variety of departments across the school campus; appreciates that, in his final week on the job, Douglas received a visit from Inverclyde Council’s Chief Executive, Louise Long, to thank him for his long service; understands that Douglas is looking forward to spending more time golfing, motorbiking and spending time with this family; believes that Douglas will be missed by his colleagues and pupils, and wishes him a long and relaxing retirement.
