Successful Girvan Clothing Company Takes On America

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Girvan’s Michael Sandilands on the clothing company that he launched in lockdown aiming to enter the American market; notes that, with the help of Michael’s three young daughters, his clothing company, OffxSpringz, has taken off during the last 12 months; further notes that the clothing brand was intended to be a fun activity for the children during lockdown, with Michael and the children creating their signature teddy bear design; understands that the company now sells a range of clothing items, including t-shirts and hats, with orders packed in a log cabin that Michael built in his back garden; notes that, once Michael surpassed 4,000 orders, he was able to take on an employee to deal with the demand; acknowledges that this new venture to America will allow the company to expand, and the brand to grow overseas, and wishes Michael and his children well as they continue to develop their successful clothing brand.
