Tesco Woodend Supply Byron Boxing Club with Fresh Fruit

The motion

That the Parliament commends Tesco Woodend for supplying Byron Boxing Club in Aberdeen with fresh fruit; understands that Tesco will provide nutritious food to youths every fortnight; further understands that Byron Boxing Club previously surveyed over 100 children on what they had for breakfast, to which over 70 children reportedly answered crisps; believes that this identified a serious need to provide healthier dietary options for the budding athletes; understands that Neil Linton, manager of Tesco Woodend, was inclined to donate the fruit after being impressed by boxing coach Paul Gilfeather’s drive and passion for aiding the local youth; commends all of the hard work and generosity displayed by the teams at Tesco Woodend, and wishes everyone involved with Byron Boxing Club all the best for the future.
