Grangemouth High Pupils Eggcellent Community Event

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Iona Gillies and Mia Evans of Grangemouth High School on the successful organisation of a local community Easter Egg hunt event in Inchyra Park, Grangemouth, Falkirk; understands that the event on 17 April 2022 was solely organised by Iona and Mia; further understands that it involved distributing over 650 Easter eggs, organising small fairground attractions and an Easter egg hunt for children and families in the local community; understands that the event also provided an important opportunity for a new outdoor gym to be formally opened to local residents, raising £214, which it understands will contribute towards a mental health bench in Inchyra Park; congratulates Iona, Mia and the group of 20 volunteers who made the event successful, and looks forward to the erection of the mental health bench, use of the new outdoor gym to encourage positive mental health, and the planning of more community events in the future.
