Catrine Bowling Club 150th Anniversary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Catrine Bowling Club as it celebrates its 150th anniversary; understands that a century and a half of bowls in Catrine has been marked with the official opening of the village club’s green for the new season; further understands that Catrine Bowling Club opened in 1872 and that it has been a hub for the community ever since; understands that to mark the special occasion, there will be a host of celebratory events throughout the year, including matches against other clubs; further understands that some members have dedicated over 40 years to the club, helping the club to become the pillar of the community that it is today; notes that the Bowling Club hall has been given out free of charge for the community to use for special occasions for a long while now, and wishes Catrine Bowling Club well as it continues to stick by its community and bring local residents together.
