The motion

That the Parliament congratulates 18-year-old James Anderson, of Friockheim in Angus, on winning the volunteering category at the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards 2022; notes that this is in recognition of his years of work with Enable Scotland, which is a charity that works to amplify the voices of people with learning disabilities, in delivering disability and anti-bullying workshops to schools and youth organisations; commends these efforts, which, it understands, have even taken him to Geneva to speak to a United Nations conference; considers James to be a credit to his community, and wishes him continued success with this work and his other volunteering activities, given that James additionally takes a leading role, it understands, in litter picking and supporting Angus Council with park maintenance and winter road clearing in Friockheim.
