Concerns Over the Treatment of India's Muslims
The motion
That the Parliament expresses its concern at reports of violence against the Muslim minority in India; notes the concerns highlighted by a number of NGOs and international observers about a recent deterioration of the situation for Indian Muslims; expresses its alarm at reports that discriminatory attitudes towards Muslims are, it understands, being imported to Scotland from India by a small minority of extremists and spreading on social media, and calls on governments around the world to protect minority rights to freedom of worship and peaceful religious practice.
