The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Nicola Pollock, of MorphFit Gentle Movement Project Ltd, on being nominated for Female Trainer of the Year at the Scottish Health and Fitness Awards 2022; understands that Nicola designs and delivers specialist fitness classes for people who are often unable to attend mainstream exercise groups, including those with declared health conditions and older people, providing those attending with the opportunity to thrive in a health-appropriate and supportive community environment that is tailored to their personal physical abilities; further understands that Nicola’s virtual classes were hailed as a "lifeline" by those attending them during the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that all the team at the MorphFit Gentle Movement Project Ltd, including Nicola, received the Enterprise and Innovation Award 2021 at the Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire Third Sector Awards, and commends Nicola and the rest of the MorphFit Gentle Movement Project Ltd for promoting physical and mental wellbeing, particularly amongst people who often struggle to source suitable exercise classes.
