The motion

That the Parliament congratulates workers in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who, it understands, were able to secure a 10% pay rise for Stagecoach Bluebird drivers in north east Scotland; understands that what it sees as this inflation-busting deal was negotiated by shop stewards who were determined to improve the jobs, pay, and conditions of members in the bus industry; recognises what it sees as the vital service that workers in the bus industry deliver to local communities across the country; highlights what it considers as the importance of successful negotiations, especially in key service sectors, during both the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing cost-of-living crisis; considers the support provided by Unite Scotland and Stagecoach Bluebird to be invaluable to many across the north east, and passes on its best wishes for every success in the future.
