Lifesaving First Aid Classes for Parents Launched in Inverclyde

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the launch of new first aid classes in Inverclyde that could save babies’ lives; understands that First Aid trainer and mum of two, Vicky Moon, will be teaching parents, grandparents, carers or anyone interested in learning about early-years first aid on what to do in an emergency situation; notes that the two-hour classes cover CPR, choking, burns, blades and cuts, seizures and meningitis awareness; understands that classes are part of the award-winning Mini First Aid franchise, which previously attracted funding from the BBC’s Dragon’s Den; further understands that Mini First Aid will also be delivering classes for children from the age of three to teach them about calling 999 and safe eating practices; believes that initiatives like Mini First Aid are hugely important for families and those working with babies and young children as taking immediate action in emergency situations can save lives, and hopes that lots of people across Inverclyde will take up this opportunity.
