Three Ayrshire Community Garden Projects Shortlisted in National Competition

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of Dalmellington Gardening and Flower Show Group, New Cumnock Community Garden Group and Cherry Tree Early Years Centre as they are shortlisted in a national competition run by Dobbies Garden Centres; understands that these community garden projects have been shortlisted for their efforts to help their area flourish in a sustainable way; further understands that the winner will receive advice, products, and support from the Dobbies team in Ayr; understands that the Helping Your Community Grow initiative is very popular in Ayr, with a variety of community groups and organisations making a difference in their local area; further understands that the public can show support for the community groups by filling out a short form on the Dobbies website; understands that Dobbies will support the winner by helping the community group to grow produce, plant wildflowers, and create a relaxing space for local residents to enjoy, benefitting Ayrshire residents if one of these projects wins the award, and wishes the Ayrshire community garden projects well as they continue to improve Ayrshire’s environment as they compete to win the Helping Your Communities Grow Competition.
