Engender Trustee Recognised Ahead of National Charity Awards
The motion
That the Parliament commends Nina Murray, of Engender, on being shortlisted as a finalist in the Trustee of the Year category in the Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) Scottish Charity Awards 2022; understands that the Trustee of the Year award recognises trustees who have worked tirelessly to make a significant difference to one or more organisations or causes; further understands that SCVO, which is the national membership organisation for the voluntary sector, aims to support, promote and develop a confident, sustainable voluntary sector in Scotland; understands that Engender is the country's feminist policy and advocacy organisation, working towards a Scotland in which women and men have equal opportunities in life, equal access to resources and power, and are all equally safe and secure from harm; believes that the contributions by Nina and Engender have been invaluable to the progress of equal rights and opportunities in Scotland, and congratulates Nina on her achievement in being shortlisted.
