Ayr’s William McCann Recognised in Annual Stagecoach Star Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ayr’s, William McCann as he is named Customer Experience Champion for 2022 at the Stagecoach Awards ceremony; understands that William has consistently gone above and beyond for customers, ensuring that those travelling by bus have a positive experience using the service; further understands that William has been a bus driver for Stagecoach for 18 years, and was awarded top place out of over 650 nominees from depots across the United Kingdom; understands that nominations for the award are received from both staff and customers, covering areas such as service to customers, safety, environment and the community; further understands that William has been chosen to represent Stagecoach as a supervisor at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022, and wishes William well as he continues to be a smiley Ayr bus driver serving communities across Ayrshire.
