Active Life Club Trustee Recognised Ahead of National Charity Awards

The motion

That the Parliament commends Raza Sadiq, of Active Life Club, on being shortlisted as a finalist in the Trustee of the Year category in the Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) 2022 Scottish Charity Awards; understands that the Trustee of the Year award recognises trustees who have worked tirelessly to make a significant difference to one or more organisations or causes; notes that SCVO, the national membership organisation for the voluntary sector, aims to support, promote and develop a confident, sustainable voluntary sector in Scotland; recognises that Active Life Club is a Glasgow-based organisation, which offers a range of activities in a safe environment for people to enjoy sports and arts, get fit, develop leadership and employability skills, and be social; believes that the contributions by Raza and Active Life Club have been invaluable to individuals and families in Glasgow and the surrounding area, and congratulates Raza on his achievement in being shortlisted.
