Inverclyde Community Development Trust Shortlisted for Charity Climate Award
The motion
That the Parliament commends Inverclyde Community Development Trust on being shortlisted in the Climate Conscious category in the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) Scottish Charity Awards 2022; understands that the Climate Conscious award commemorates organisations that are making a positive contribution to the climate change agenda with actions such as reducing their own carbon footprints, incorporating environmental sustainability into their everyday activities or helping their community to achieve a just transition to net zero; further understands that SCVO, which is the national membership organisation for the voluntary sector, aims to support, promote and develop a confident, sustainable voluntary sector in Scotland; understands that Inverclyde Community Development Trust exists to build opportunities to empower and improve wellbeing in communities, helping people to realise their potential and improve all aspects of their lives; believes that the contributions by the Trust have been invaluable to the people of Inverclyde, and congratulates the team at the Trust on their achievement in being shortlisted.
