Nicolson’s Bar and Kitchen, Scotland’s Best Gastropub

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Nicolson’s Bar and Kitchen on being crowned Scotland’s best gastropub at the 10th annualScottish Entertainment Awards; understands that the Greenock establishment is runby business partners, Michael Frizzel and Symon Bleasdale, who were voted intothe final by local customers before being part of a rigorous judging processalongside 14 rivals; further understands that Symon and Michael have paidtribute to the bar’s hard-working staff, who it believes are crucial toNicolson’s success; understands that regular customers are delighted that theirlocal has been recognised nationally, and new customers have also visited thegastropub since Nicolson’s won the award, and wishes Symon, Michael and all thestaff at Nicholson’s all the best for the future.
