Dumfries House Helping Towards Ukraine

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Kauffman Education Garden at Dumfries House Estate, which it understands has launched an initiative whereby pupils will help to grow sunflowers, which is known to be Ukraine’s national flower, for sale to visitors to the estate; understands that the proceeds will be donated to aid those in, and fleeing Ukraine; further understands that the Pierburg Building and Kauffman Education Gardens, provide an introduction to gardening, food production and the use of fresh produce and typically welcomes thousands of school pupils each year to learn about where food comes from as well as how to grow, harvest and prepare produce to create healthy meals, and wishes them well for the future.
