The Return of The Portsoy Traditional Boats Festival

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the return of the Portsoy Traditional Boats Festival as an in-person event on 18 and 19 June 2022; recognises what it sees as the event's national importance as a showcase event for Scottish and maritime culture; understands that funding from The National Events Programme run by Event Scotland and funded by the Scottish Government has helped make the 2022 event possible; encourages the public to come forward and volunteer to help at the event, and thanks all whose hard work, dedication and vision make this event a highlight on the Scottish event calendar.
