Moray Council Climate Change Strategy
The motion
That the Parliament commends Moray Council for what it sees as its pro-active and innovative approach to tackling climate change and reducing climate emissions from its operations, and understands that the publishing of its climate change strategy 2020-30 aims to cut carbon emissions caused by council activity to as close to zero as possible by 2030, while promoting new employment, enhancing biodiversity, work with the local community to facilitate local action on climate change, reduce energy bills and increase economic growth.
