New College Lanarkshire Graduates Compete at the 46th WorldSkills Shanghai 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates New College Lanarkshire graduates Mona Nawaz and Lewis Batchelor on being selected to compete at the 46th WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 event; understands that Mona and Lewis will be part of a 39 strong UK Team, showcasing their skills and competing against the best students and apprentices from over 80 countries in October 2022; further understands that Mona will be showcasing her Digital Construction and Lewis showcasing his Mechanical Engineering skills; considers that Scotland’s colleges are crucial for their students and staff, communities, businesses, and the economy; celebrates what it sees as the outstanding innovation, hard work and best practice that takes place across Scotland's colleges every day; praises New College Lanarkshire, Mona and Lewis for their achievements, and wishes them all the best with their future careers.
