Three Lanarkshire Siblings Provide 100 Years of Dedicated Service to the NHS

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jean Daly, Roz Kerr and Arlene Watson, three sisters originally from Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, for their combined 100 years of dedicated service to the NHS; understands that all three sisters are still working for the NHS and that Jean is a healthcare clinical assistant in an elderly care ward in Motherwell, Roz works part-time between the University Hospital, Wishaw, and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) looking after patients in surgery, and Arlene works as a trauma nurse at the QEUH; further understands that the sisters, throughout their careers, have offered encouragement and support to one another, as well as their colleagues, and that they continue to gain considerable job satisfaction from their respective roles, acting as a source of inspiration to many NHS staff for their ongoing care, commitment and compassion to patients and their families; thanks Jean, Roz and Arlene, and everyone working in the NHS, for what it sees as their outstanding resilience and professionalism, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic over the last two years, and wishes the sisters well as they continue to take care of loved ones.
