Grampian Pride 2022
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates the return of Grampian Pride to Aberdeen this year, organised by Four Pillars, which is an LGBT+ organisation that does, it considers, brilliant work to support LGBT+ and intersex people across the north east of Scotland; notes that the 2022 Pride Parade will be held on 28 May 2022; appreciates that this year's Grampian Pride will be the first fully in-person event since 2019; understands that, for many, Pride is both a celebration of progress made, but also continues to be a protest for further LGBT+ rights and inclusion; commends Four Pillars, its staff and volunteers, and everyone involved, for ensuring the event is safe and welcoming for all who would like to take part; looks forward to the return of Grampian Pride, and passes on its best wishes for continued success in the future.
