Deaf Services Lanarkshire Receives £9,984 Grant from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Deaf Services Lanarkshire on receiving a £9,984 grant from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; understands that the funding will be used to develop a six-month trial befriending scheme to reduce loneliness and isolation and improve mental health among Lanarkshire's deaf community, and praises the service for developing important programmes, including an interpreting agency, support groups and deaf awareness seminars for businesses.
