The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Airth Highland Games organisers on their successful funding award from EventScotland’s National Events Programme; understands that this year’s Games have been awarded £3,900 to aid in their recovery after being unable to be held over the last two years due to COVID-19 restrictions; notes that the Airth Highland Games was one of 20 community events across Scotland that received up to £4,000 of funding; considers the National Events Programme funding, which has been further boosted by the Scottish Government this year, to be important in supporting the recovery of events and tourism from the effects of the pandemic; reiterates its congratulations to the organisers of the Airth Highland Games on their funding award, and wishes them well for the 150th games event to be held in the village on 23 July 2022.
