Play Therapy Base Receives £119,382 from Medium Grants Scotland

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Play Therapy Base, which is based in Dalkeith, on receiving a £119,382 grant from Medium Grants Scotland: Improving Lives; understands that this group not only supports families in Midlothian but also Edinburgh, East Lothian and the Borders; recognises that this funding will be used to support 50 children and families by providing one-to-one play therapy sessions and filial therapy sessions, and will support children and parents presenting with distress and anxiety; acknowledges how important these local services are for families, and especially young children who are facing challenging circumstances; thanks Play Therapy Base for its work, and wishes it the best going forward.
