£230,991 Investment in Moodiesburn Greenspace
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the £230,991 investment from the low carbon Vacant Land Investment Programme in the Moodiesburn locality; understands that Glenmanor Greenspace will deliver community greenspace for Moodiesburn and neighbouring settlements, creating a new village green at the heart of the area’s 20-minute neighbourhood on the site of a long-term derelict site; recognises the hard-work and commitment from local residents and community groups, including the Northern Corridor Community Volunteers, and their associated social enterprise, Cloudberry Communities CIC, in making this possible, and looks forward to the project securing positive effects for biodiversity and making North Lanarkshire a greener place to live.
