Celebrating National Lottery Community Fund Projects in Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire

The motion

That the Parliament thanks the National Lottery Community Fund for supporting Borders communities to thrive with funding from the National Lottery; acknowledges that, in the Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire constituency, the Morebattle Institute received a £10,000 grant from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland, and will use the funding to secure a new roof for the Morebattle Institute; congratulates Nurture the Borders on receiving a £172,168 grant from Medium Grants Scotland: Improving Lives, as this will be put to use to provide mental health support, education and advocacy to women in the Scottish Borders during pregnancy and for up to two years after birth; commends Selkirk Regeneration, which received a £66,492 grant from Medium Grants Scotland: Community Led; understands that this group will use the funding to support people in the Selkirk area to work together to reduce domestic carbon emissions and waste, travel more sustainably and increase their awareness of the climate crisis, and notes that the National Lottery Community Fund distributes funding on behalf of National Lottery players, who raise more than £30 million each week for good causes throughout the UK, including in Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire.
