Asda Foundation's Bringing Communities Back Together Funding Awards, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire-based organisations on receiving grants through the Asda Foundation's Bringing Communities Back Together fund; understands that the Asda Foundation has launched a new funding initiative with the intention to "reunite communities and celebrate togetherness", as Scotland transitions to a post-pandemic way of life; understands that the project provides grants of between £250 and £1,000 to help organisations resume activities or hold get together-style events; further understands that, thanks to work from the Asda Bridge of Dee's Community Champion, beneficiaries included the Aberdeen Chorus of Sweet Adelines International, which received a £925 grant, the Culter and District Mens Shed, which received £670, and the Grampian Society for the Blind North East Sensory Services, which was awarded a £762 grant; commends the Asda Foundation and the respective groups' organisers, participants and service users for receiving these awards, and wishes all every success in the future.
