Advocating More Support for Transvaginal Mesh Survivors

Lodged by Daniel Johnson (Scottish Labour) Standard Motion 1 supporter

The motion

That the Parliament understands the difficulties, and desperation, that women who experience transvaginal mesh implant surgery can face, both to their physical wellbeing and their mental health; acknowledges what it sees as the need for urgent reform so that women have the necessary treatment available; believes that there is a need for greater clarity and preparedness in dealing with mesh cases, so that more women can receive the clinical support they need, and calls on the Scottish Government to do all it can to engage with mesh survivors.
