The motion

That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the importance of improving capacity for audiology appointments and services across Scotland, especially as it recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic; further recognises the need to reduce the reported backlog of waiting times for audiology appointments, to ensure that more patients receive timely, high-quality care and treatment in their place of choosing; highlights what it sees as the need to move forward with the previously-stated commitment to move Scotland to a system of primary care audiology, and believes that plans to implement this should be published to ensure that age-related hearing loss, and other hearing-related issues, are given the treatment and attention they deserve.
