Turnberry Titans Raise Over £21,000 for Charity

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Turnberry Titans group of staff at Trump Turnberry Hotel, in Maidens, for taking part in the Glasgow’s Kiltwalk, which raised funds for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity; notes that the group is made up of 19 members of the hotel's staff; praises the group for raising over £21,000 for the children’s charity; understands that the employees walked an impressive combined 297 miles with some employees walking the marathon-distance 26 miles on the day; further understands that the group was established in 2015 to raise funds for Glasgow children’s hospital and St. Jude’s Children’s research hospital; acknowledges that the group will continue to raise funds for the charities by hosting a ladies lunch on 26 August and a St Andrews Ceilidh on 25 November later this year; praises the Turnberry Titans for their charitable contributions, and wishes them success for their future events.
