Parkinson’s UK 66-mile Challenge in Falkirk
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates those who took part in Parkinson’s UK 66-mile challenge at the Kelpies in Falkirk on 9 June 2022, and others across the country; acknowledges that the money raised will help to fund the vital work and research undertaken by Parkinson’s UK; understands that over 12 thousand people are estimated to take part in walks across Scotland between July and October, and that the challenge is open to individuals or groups of all ages and abilities; celebrates what it sees as the important and ongoing impact that the work of Parkinson’s UK has made to people’s lives since its inception in 1969; thanks all the staff and volunteers who have contributed to fighting Parkinson’s, and wishes the organisation continued success.
