Our Lady and St Patrick’s High is Silver Award Winner at Pearson National Teaching Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Our Lady and St Patrick’s High in Dumbarton on being named one of 80 Silver award winners from across the UK at the 2022 Pearson National Teaching Awards, which recognise excellence in education; notes that the awards were founded by Lord Puttnam in 1998 to recognise the life-changing impact an inspirational teacher can have on the lives of their students; understands that, as well as promoting the spiritual, moral, physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of the students as they prepare for adult life, the school is also committed to ensuring that they become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors; acknowledges that, as a Silver award winner, Our Lady and St Patrick’s is now shortlisted to win one of 16 Gold awards later this year.
